He commenced his career in Project, design and construction management in civil works in Mexico and in retail, office, F&B and residential projects in Madrid.
He joined Marriott in 2000 and left the company 10 years later as Senior Director of Development Management for Europe & Middle East, being responsible for the successful completion of projects on time, within budget and in compliance with the Brand standards. By identifying, selecting and assembling the design and management resources (consultants, contractors, etc.) and directing them until project completion and delivery to the Operations team. He was also accountable for the technical feasibility analysis of the projects.
During the last 9 years he has participated in the development of more than 20 hotels in numerous countries undertaking diverse roles (Owner´s representative, Design Manager, etc.) and dealing with the main hotel operators and with some of the most renowned international design consultants. The most relevant projects he has managed during this period include the W Opera Hotel Paris, Corinthia Hotel Lusail Qatar, Sheraton Hotel Doha, Waldorf Astoria Doha, Marriott San Isidro Lima Perú, Ritz Carlton Lima Perú, Hyatt Andaz Mayakoba Mexico, Ikos Andalusia Estepona Spain.
